Elon Musk shocked at how India counted 640 million votes in a single day

The world’s largest democracy, India, has once again proved that its systemic capabilities are no less than any big country. In the recent elections, India surprised everyone by counting 640 million (64 crore) votes in a day. American billionaire Elon Musk has praised India for the fast election process, and it was quite shocking for him.

Elon Musk has commented on the elections in India. Elon Musk praised India for conducting elections quickly and also took a dig at the US electoral system. Musk wrote on the social media platform X that ‘India counted 64 crore votes in a day while the counting of votes is still going on in California.’

Elon Musk’s comment came in response to a post on X in which the headline of a news article was shared. It was titled ‘How India counted 64 crore votes in a day.’ The caption along with the screenshot of the article also read, ‘Meanwhile in India, fraud is not the primary goal of their elections.’

In his comment, he directly attacked the delay in election results in California. In his sharp reaction, Musk emphasized the difference between the fast-paced election results in India and the sluggish vote-counting process for the 2024 US presidential election. Musk said in another comment that President Trump has now officially nominated someone for each department in his cabinet, and California is still counting votes.

Users shared various types of reactions to Elon Musk’s tweet. A user writes, And Indians have voter ID cards too. That’s why India is the largest true democracy.

Another user writes, Seriously! California is still counting votes? I thought the US was a developed nation. Maybe developed means they are stagnant. No scope for further developments. I guess better to be developing!

Another user writes, that Indian voting machines and systems are quite good and clean. DOGE should think about implementing such a system inspired by India in the USA.
