The richest man in India and chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, recently traveled to Uttarakhand’s sacred Badrinath-Kedarnath Dham. He donated the Dham Rs 5 crore on this pilgrimage as an expression of his devotion and faith. This donation will help to improve the Dham’s infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
As Mukesh Ambani is getting older, he is often seen visiting temples. The starting point of Mukesh Ambani’s journey was Shri Badrinath. Badrinath is considered to be the home of Lord Vishnu and millions of devotees visit here every year. Mukesh Ambani went to Kedarnath Dham after Badrinath. Ajendra Ajay, the chairman of the Badri-Kedar Temple, greeted him as he arrived in Kedarnath.
Safely, Mukesh Ambani visited Kedarnath and Badrinath Dhams. He has donated Rs 5 crore to both the Dhams. This contribution is meant to improve amenities for devotees and further develop the Dhams. Both Badrinath and Kedarnath Dhams are very popular among Hindus, every year lakhs of devotees from India and abroad come here to visit. While the Kedarnath temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is the eleventh among the twelve Jyotirlingas of India, the Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
An approximately 16-kilometer ascent must be completed in order to reach the Kedarnath shrine. The temple is only available for darshan from April to November due to the climate conditions.
