Manu Bhaker is a prominent Indian sport shooter who has made significant strides in the world of shooting sports. She has represented India in various international competitions and has garnered numerous accolades.
Meanwhile, she once again made the country proud by winning a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris in the women’s 10 metre air pistol event.
It is also worth noting thaat this is India’s first medal of those Olympics and also made her the first woman shooter from India to win a medal at any Olympics.
After she won the Bronze, several netizens took to their respective social media handles to laud Manu Bhaker. Meanwhile, India’s batting great, Sachin Tendulkar pitched in with a special tweet for the woman shooter.

After winning the Bronze, Manu Bhaker took to X and wrote, “Winning this medal is a dream come true, not just for me but for everyone who has supported me. I am deeply grateful to the NRAI, SAI, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Coach Jaspal Rana sir, Haryana government and OGQ. I dedicate this victory to my country for their incredible support and love.”
Manu Bhaker started her career in sports at a young age, initially dabbling in sports like boxing, skating, and martial arts before settling on shooting. Her natural talent and dedication quickly became evident as she progressed in the sport.
Talking about her previous achievements, in 2018 ISSF World Cup, she won two gold medals at the ISSF World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico, in the 10m Air Pistol event and the mixed team event.
In 2018 Commonwealth Games, she won a gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol event, becoming one of the youngest Indian shooters to achieve this feat at the Commonwealth Games. In Youth Olympics 2018, Manu Bhaker secured a gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol event, making her the first Indian shooter to win a gold medal at the Youth Olympics.
In the sian Games 2018, she won a silver medal in the mixed team 10m Air Pistol event, showcasing her skills on a larger Asian stage.
