Chirag Kumar Paswan was born on 31 October 1982 in Khagaria Bihar. Paswan is a third-semester college dropout in Computer Engineering. After dropping out of college, he starred in the Hindi film Mile Na Mile Hum (2011). After the film flopped at the box office, Chirag Paswan quit acting and began his political journey in 2012. In the 2014 and 2019 elections, he contested and won from the Jamui constituency in Bihar. In 2019, he was elected president of the LJP.
