A recent incident unfolded in a school in Agra, leaving the community deeply shaken. In this incident, the school principal was observed physically assaulting a teacher, a video of which has rapidly circulated across social media. This dispute took place over the teacher coming late to school. The conversation started with abuses and escalated into a fight. The teacher tore the principal’s clothes. Both have lodged reports against each other in the police station.
A video has surfaced of a former secondary school principal of Agra’s Seegana village not only assaulting teacher Gunjan Chaudhary but she has also been accused of trying to tear her clothes during the assault. In the viral video, the principal and teacher of a government secondary school are seen fighting. During this, both of them also used abusive language for each other. A video of this incident was made at the scene and went viral on social media.
In the background of the video, someone was heard saying, “This will be recorded. Madam is being rude. Does this suit you?” Her colleague claimed the teacher was injured in the fight. The principal and the teacher also resorted to foul language during their fight, which was neither appropriate for the school they studied in nor the profession they were in. During the confrontation, the teacher was heard saying, “Maar ke dikhade agar dam hain toh. Kya kar lega tu aur tera driver.”
According to online sources, there has been an altercation between the two earlier also. The school staff present on the spot tried to convince both of them. But the matter escalated and both of them started beating each other. Both have filed complaints against each other in Sikandra police station. The police started investigating it. This matter has also reached the officials of the Education Department.
There is a need to take positive steps to prevent such incidents in schools. Continuous efforts should be made to make educational institutions safe and supported so that students feel free and safe.
