A shocking case has come to light from Kashipur in Uttarakhand. A Muslim youth attacked a girl named Pooja with a knife because the girl refused to accept his proposal. She bled to death, but people nearby intervened and took her to the hospital. The attacker ran away, but the incident was captured on CCTV. According to the current information, Fardeen has been arrested by the police.
Fardeen, a resident of Kashipur Mohalla Khalsa, has been identified as the youth accused in the incident. The victim, Pooja, a 22-year-old B.Com student, was en route to her tuition class with her sister and another student when Fardeen intercepted them. He assaulted Pooja by striking her on the head with a knife and quickly fled the scene. Neighbouring people admitted Pooja to LD Bhatt Sub District Hospital. Pooja’s condition is very critical.
Pooja’s sister Sharda informed her father about this matter. After the attack, a crowd gathered due to which the attacker escaped from the spot. Police arrived and collected information from the victim. Hindu activists demanded the arrest of Fardeen. Pooja’s father said that he had filed a complaint against Fardeen two months ago but no action was taken by the police.
Currently, there are three cases registered against Fardeen in 2019, 2021, and 2022, according to police station in-charge Manoj Raturi. The victim’s father revealed that his daughter had been harassed earlier also, but the police did not take any action, which led to this tragic incident. Further investigation is ongoing.
