A new chapter is unfolding in India, marked by a profound spirit of creation and commitment, as the final stages of constructing the Ram Mandir are underway. A substantial amount of Rs 900 crore has already been invested in this monumental project, and there remains a substantial Rs 3,000 crore in the project’s bank accounts.
Following a three-hour meeting of trust officials on Saturday morning, Champat Rai, the secretary, revealed that they discussed 18 points, including the legal procedures for accepting donations in foreign currency. The trust has now applied for permission under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. Rai declared that from February 5, 2020, to March 31, 2023, a sum of Rs 900 crore has been expended on the construction of the temple, with a remaining balance of more than Rs 3,000 crore in the trust’s bank accounts.
He further explains, ‘He said that the Ram Katha Museum located on the banks of river Saryu will be a legal trust and 500 years of history of Ram Temple and 50 years of legal documents will be kept there.’ Along with this, the temple trust has appealed to people across the country to light lamps in front of their homes after sunset on the day of the consecration ceremony.
Rai said, the rice will be worshiped before Lord Ram before the consecration ceremony and then it will be distributed across India. A total of five lakh villages will receive rice (Pujit Akshat) between January 1 and 15. He said that a committee had been formed for the consecration ceremony. Rai also pointed out that all previous analyses of the pace of construction work “turned out to be wrong”.
“It took us a long time to complete the work since none of us had experience working with stone. Larsen & Toubro and Tata (companies engaged in construction work) did not have that experience. He never did any stone carving and hence all the analyses were wrong.
According to Rai, in the meeting of trust officials, there was a discussion on taking the construction work forward in three phases. He said, “In the first phase, the work of the ground floor of the temple and Pran Pratistha (consecration of the idol of Ram Lalla) will be completed by January 2024, the second phase by the end of 2024, and the third phase by December 2025.” Said.
