The cricket fraternity is aware of the fact that Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans in the last ball of the spectacular IPL 2023 Final. When CSK required four runs off the last ball, the game could have turned either way.
Both teams had the chance to win it. As it turned out, Ravindra Jadeja hit the winning runs for CSK by smashing a boundary off Mohit Sharma. Chennai Super Kings won the game by five wickets based on DLS Method.
Batting first, Gujarat Titans posted a huge total of 214/4 in their quota of 20 overs. Sai Sudharsan top-scored with 96 off 47 balls. The Tamil Nadu youngster paced his innings with the help of 8 fours and 6 sixes.
On the other hand, the rain halted the gameplay which forced the match officials to bring the DLS Method into play. The target was revised to 171 off 15 overs. CSK successfully aced the run-chase.
It wouldn’t have been possible without the team’s effort. Devon Conway led the attack by example as he scored 47 off 25 balls including 4 fours and 2 sixes. CSK won their fifth IPL title and levelled Mumbai Indians’ tally.
