Dubai: A rapidly spreading video on social media has gained immense attention, quickly achieving viral status. The video portrays the heartbreaking scene where the dreams of numerous individuals from Pakistan were shattered by the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Hundreds of Pakistanis gathered at midnight before the Burj Khalifa, holding up their phone cameras, hopeful to see the Pakistani flag illuminated on the iconic building. However, Burj Khalifa disappointed the people of Pakistan and smashed everyone’s dreams. The video displays individuals engaging in the chant “Pakistan Zindabad”
A viral video originating from Dubai depicts a scene where a large gathering of Pakistani citizens congregates near the iconic Burj Khalifa at the stroke of midnight, hoping it will be illuminated with their national colours. However, to everyone’s surprise, a few minutes after midnight, there was still no demonstration at the tallest building in the world. After this, the disappointed public started raising chants of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ showing their support towards their nation and motherland. They got infuriated because Dubai had flashed the Indian flag on several occasions including on Independence Day.
In the viral video, a young woman can be heard saying, “As the clock strikes 12:01 AM, Dubai authorities have conveyed that the flag of Pakistan will not be displayed on Burj Khalifa. This has become our situation now.” “
She expressed, “Amidst the chants of Pakistani citizens, the absence of Pakistan’s flag on Burj Khalifa is conspicuous. It’s truly disheartening that this situation has become a mockery for all Pakistanis.”
In the video, people can be seen walking away disappointed as they expected Burj Khalifa to light up in the colours of Pakistan’s flag in an attempt to brighten their spirit. However, this did not happen and all Pakistanis had to return with disappointment.
Pakistan is celebrating its 77th Independence Day today. India and Pakistan got independence from British rule in 1947 and India celebrates its Independence Day on the 15th of August.
