It’s indeed true to the fact that girls face too many problems at young age. They are forced to drop out of school in a bid to focus houseold work, they are forced to marry to a man 10 years older to them and talking about it, the list goes on.
Despite so many problems, the girls don’t hesitate to touch the pinnacle of success by grit and determination. There is nothing that can stop women from achieving or accomplishing something great in life. There are many who have proved that and set an example for the current and future generations.
As they say, behind every successful women, there is a different back story. Today we are going to discuss the inspirational story of Anita Prabha Sharma how she defied all the odds to become the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the age of 25.
She is one of the bright students in her circle. On combining her strategy with a blend of hard work and smart work, she went about her business and did ever so well in academics. She had no problems with studies. She helps her friends and clears all their doubts as well. She secured a notable 92 percent in 10th standard.
Unfortunately, she was married off at a very young age of 17 to a man who is 10 years elder than her. But that didn’t stop her to become DSP. Hailing from MP’s Anuppur district Anita is the daughter of two teachers.
Despite education factor being a necessity at home, her parents wanted to be relieved of all their duties and responsibilities. So, they married off both Anita and her sister at young ages. Her parents were educated and already knew that child marriage is illegal but they still decided to get Anita at a mere age of 17.
Since her in-laws were financially in trouble, they allowed Anita to complete her graduation. But in her 3rd year of graduation, her husband unfortunately, met with an accident and broke both his arms. She couldn’t appear for her exams as she had to take complete care of her husband, and thus, she completed her graduation in four years. As a result of this, she was ineligible for the probationary bank officer post.
This didn’t make her tired as her burning desire kept ticking. She started working at a parlour post a beautician course to make some money for her family. During the same time, she faced issued in communicating with her husband owing to the big age gap between the two.
Meanwhile, Anita planned to take the Forest Guard Examination in 2013 where she successfully finished the 14-km walk in only four hours. She was posted in Balaghat district in MP in December 2013.
This indeed boosted Anita’s morale and she decided to appear for the examination for the sub-inspector position. Despite failing the physical examination in her first attempt, she sorted out her woes and ensured to make the cut in the second time, being recruited sub-inspector.
Anita had undergone a serious surgery in order to remove a tumour from her ovary 2 months before her exam. However, she cracked the examination, fighting even her illness. She was first posted to the Sub-Divisional District Reserve Police Line. As far as her training is concerned, she went to Sagar after which she advanced with her divorce.
During her active training stint, the result for the MP State Public Service Commission examination, which she had appeared previously, came out. In her first attempt, Anita got the 17th rank and was selected for the DSP post.
