Over the years, the country has seen most people repeatedly committing mistakes by spitting paan, especially in public places. Paan is a blend of tobacco, nuts, and spices wrapped in a leaf.
On the contrary, other people feel disgusted while walking on the pavements which are being stained with red paan remains.
Well, many are unaware of the problem that spitting paan is unhygienic as it leaves unsightly staining on pavements. In India alone, the total number of deaths caused by tobacco is touched 1.5 million by 2020 compared to 1.3 million deaths per year in 2017.
Taking public health into account the Uttarakhand government has now put a complete ban on the manufacture, storage, distribution and sale of pan masala and gutkha.
On the other hand, some actors like Ajay Devgn, and Shah Rukh Khan made the headlines recently when they promoted a tobacco brand. Meanwhile, one of the Twitter users wrongly tagged Suneil Shetty for promoting a tobacco brand.
The picture was captioned, “Itne ad dekh liye iss Highway pe ki ab Gutkha khaane ka mann kar raha hai (I have seen so many ads on this highway that I feel like having some tobacco).”
The Twitter user further added, “Hey #GutkaKingsofIndia @iamsrk @akshaykumar @SunielVShetty you’re kids has to feel shame on you to lead nation in wrong way. Don’t lead India to cancer nation stupids.”
The user’s tweet triggered Suniel Shetty to come up with a reply. Suniel wrote, “Bhai tu apna chashma adjust kar le ya badal de (Brother, adjust your glasses or change them)”, along with a folded hands emoji.
The Twitter user said sorry to Suniel for tagging him instead of Ajay Devgn. He also claimed that he was his fan. “Hello @SunielVShetty. Sorry it was just mistagged and i didn’t mean to hurt you bhai, lot of love. It should be (@ajaydevgn). As I am your fan your name ups always first in tag,” he tweeted. Meanwhile, Suniel acknowledged his apology with a folded hands emoji.
