In 2018, he won his first medal for India at an international swimming meet in Thailand. R Madhavan is blissfully pleased as punch after knowing that his son is making the country proud. An elated Madhavan had even taken to his social media platform to share good news that his son has won 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal at the Junior National Level Swim meet.
He took to social media to share the news, “With all you Blessings, good wishes and Gods Grace … Vedaant makes us very proud again.. 3 golds and a silver at the Junior Nationals Swim meet. His first individual National medals ? . Asian next. Thank you so much to GAF MUMBAI and to all at the coaches and team members,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, in the latest development, Vedaant has once again done the country proud. He earned a silver medal at the Danish open swimming meet in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The 16-year-old clocked 15.57.86 in the men’s 1500m freestyle event. As a result, he secured the second spot on Friday night.
The actor shared a video clip from the felicitation ceremony on Instagram. The 51-year-old actor went on to thank his son’s coach Pradeep Kumar and the swimming federation of India for their support.

Notably, Vedaant had previously clinched a bronze medal at the Latvia Open in March 2021. Moreover, he has also impressed at the Junior National Aquatic Championships last year where he won as many as seven medals i.e. four silver and three bronze.
The Danish Open 2022 is being held in Copenhagen, Denmark from April 15 to 19. Notably, the top Indian swimmer Sajan Prakash came through with flying colours as he won the gold medal in the men’s 200m butterfly.
