South Indian movies have always attracted audiences from every part of the country. Their entertainment factor is one of a kind and keeps the audience hooked and with the desire to come back for more.
Some works like ‘Baahubali’ have further heightened the popularity of these South Indian movies. The blockbuster movie did so well that it now shines a light on other South Indian movies enabling them to take the limelight as well.
The artists who dub the movies are slowly but steadily gaining the recognition that they deserve. Some of these artists lend their voice to these actors for not just one but many movies.
Let’s take a look at such voices that give life to the South Indian characters in their Hindi dubs:
1. Sanket Mhatre:
Sanket Mhatre is the voice behind many of Allu Arjun’s films some of which include Mahesh Babu in Choodan (The Real Tiger), Srimanthudu (The Real Tevar), and Aagadu (Encounter Shankar), as well as Suriya in Jai Bheem, Soorarai Pottru, and Kaappaan. He is a very well-known voice actor and has also lent his voice to NTR Jr. and Ram Pothineni.
2. Shreyas Talpade:
You might recognize Shreyas from the ever golden comedy film series ‘Golmaal’. He recently worked on the Hindi dubbing of the movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ which was a huge phenomenon when it was released in the theatres.
He gives his voice to Allu Arjun’s character in the movie and even shared in his social media accounts how proud he felt of the accomplishment of the film and extended gratitude to the audience for giving it so much love. Reportedly, he will be working on another one of Allu Arjun’s projects and give his voice in his next movie “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo”.
3. Vinod Kulkarni:
Vinod has given his voice to many movies of the renowned comedic actor Brahmanandam. Vinod has worked in movies like Arya 2, Power, Rebel, and Kandireega and given his performance in the Hindi version of these movies.
4. Manoj Pandey:
Rana Daggubati is such a strong presence on screen as well as off-screen. Especially his role in the movie ‘Bahubali’ was deeply appreciated and celebrated by his fans and the audience. Voice actor Manoj Pandey is the voice behind Rana’s character in the movie ‘Bahubali’. And it is safe to say that he did the actor absolute justice. Manoj has also worked on another one of Rana’s movies called ‘Krishna Ka Badla’.
5. Rajesh Kava:
Rajesh is a celebrated voice actor and is probably the voice behind some of your favourite cartoon shows or animated series. His most notable work is his dubbing for Harry in ‘Harry Potter’. He has given his voice to Vijay for his movie Velayudham and also to Dhanush for Thanga Magan.
6. Sharad Kelkar:
Sharad Kelkar is the voice behind the character of Baahubali in the famous South Indian blockbuster movie. His voice was a perfect fit for the character and it was well reflected in the movie as well. This is one of his most notable works over the years.
7. Ajay Devgn:
According to reports, Ajay Devgn is one of the most famed celebrities of Bollywood that have given their voice to the South Indian powerhouses. He gave his voice to the character of RamRam Charan in the Hindi version of the movie ‘Dhruva’.
8. Arbaaz Khan:
Arbaaz Khan is added to the star-studded cast of the Hindi dubbing actors for the movie ‘Dhruva’. He gives his voice to the antagonist played by Arvind Swamy.
