In a good news, Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus has been launched in India today. It is no surprise that it grabbed the eyeballs of the R.E lovers in every snippet of the nation. It is learnt that Classic 500 Pegasus edition in India is a brand new limited edition of its Classic 500 motorcycle. Only 1000 units will be produced and the Indian market will be getting 250 units.
The limited edition motorcycle recognizes Royal Enfield RE/WD 125 role in providing vehicles for armed forces since the inception of the first World War. The ever so impressive Classic 500 Pegasus is available only in Service Brown colour at the Indian market. Each motorcycle is identified by its unique serial number that’s stencilled on the tank along with a Pegasus design.
The motorcycle is powered by a 499 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine good for 27.5 PS at 5,250 rpm and 41.3N m of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The actual price of Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus that is launched in India is Rs 2.49 lakh, on-road Mumbai and at Rs. 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The cost of the product is inclusive of a Sling bags, Pegasus shirts, helmets, boots, the canvas panniers. According to the latest update, registrations begin today and online bookings start on June 10, 2018.
The paint and other parts of the vehicle are influenced by the Royal Enfield RE/WD 125 that was used in World War II. The bikes were labelled as the Flying Flea and were air-dropped behind the area controlled by enemies. However, this limited edition is three times heavier than the Flying Flea as it weighs 194 kg. The Pegasus Edition comes in two colours internationally – Service Brown and Olive Drab Green.
