Taking other’s objects or property without their permission is called ‘Stealing’. In today’s world, we hear a lot of stories of thieves stealing gold, money, wallet, bike, phone etc. Usually, items are stolen from the jewellery store, medical shop, shopping complex and so on.
Recently, a video footage doing the rounds on social media shows a man calmly dealing with an armed robber at a bar. Today, he is being hailed as the “World’s Chillest Man”. This incident took place on August 28. The bold man idengified as Tony Tovar became a national sensation after his act.
When a robber pointed a gun towards Tony Tovar, the latter looked cool as a cucumber at Behrmann’s Tavern in St. Louis. While others would panic in this tense situation, Tony Tovar calmly lit up a cigarette at gunpoint.
“Sometimes you just have to stand up to punks like that,” he told Inside Edition.
Meanwhile, customers who got frightened at the bar and the bartender had no other option than to follow robber’s order to go on the floor. Even as robber frightened the people by aiming the gun towards them, Tovar did not even get scared as he was calmly sitting on his chair as his neighbourhood bar was being robbed. The robber tried to steal Tovar’s phone by clutching his hand on it but the latter was strong enough to pull his phone back.
“He was reaching for my phone and what is going through my mind is, ‘This is not going to happen,'” Tovar said.
“He said, ‘I am going to need the money [from] your wallet’ and I said, ‘I have $2 and that is for my next beer.’ I actually told him, ‘As long as you are back there, why don’t you get me a beer?’ He said, ‘No! Get your own beer!'” Tovar recalled.
The video which spread like wildfire on social media platforms was flooded with comments.
