Two weeks after the Bhoomi Pujan of Ayodhya Ram Temple, director Om Raut has made an announcement of his upcoming movie “Aadi Purush” based on Lord Rama and his life.
Baahubali actor Prabhas is all set to collaborate with Raut for this film. Prabhas took to his Instagram page and shared the first look in which we see an ‘A’ with glimpses of Adipurush. Fans have been left berserk with the new look and they can’t wait to see the Telugu star in movies back again.
For the uninitiated, Om Raut made his directorial debut with Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhahji: The Unsung Warrior which released earlier this year. Sharing his excitement, he said in a statement, “I am grateful to Prabhas for accepting the part and my vision and Bhushanji for his unconditional support to realise my dream project. We embark on this journey with tremendous passion and pride and promise our audience an experience like never before.”
Prabhas captioned his post stating, “Celebrating the victory of good over evil! #Adipurush @omraut @bhushankumar @vfxwaala @rajeshnair29 @tseriesfilms @retrophiles1 @tseries.official #TSeries”.
It is Prabhas’ first collaboration with Om Raut. It is a 3D film and will be shot in Hindi and Telugu while it will be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and several international languages.
In the last few years, Bollywood has given India many films that are ‘inspired’ from history. Many Bollywood films have attracted criticism over the years. Therefore, the movie ‘Adipurush’ will surely attract criticism when it will be released in 2022. People will raise various objections against the film. So now the question is why could one have objections to this movie?
The government has nothing to do with this film because the movie is being directed by ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ helmer Om Raut. In such a situation, how this movie can be nationalism?. Yet, those who have objections to this film will call this movie a nationalism.
People now want to know India’s history and culture, they want to know the real heroes of the country who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country, but there are certain people who are going to call it nationalism. India has sent a ‘strong message’ across the world by conducting surgical strikes that India is capable of giving a befitting reply if provoked. Later, a Bollywood movie called “Uri: The Surgical Strike” was made based on the surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army.
When the film ‘Adipurush’ will be released in theaters in 2022, It will receive a lot of criticism. Certain people claim that Jodhaa Akbar is a secularist movie but Tanhaji is a nationalism. Haider movie is secularism but AdiPurush is hyper-nationalism. People will express their outrage over the film.
Actor Prabhas said in a statement, “Every role and every character come’s with its own challenges, but portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character of our Epic especially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love for our film.”
‘Adipurush’ is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, who also worked with Prabhas in ‘Saaho’. They have also collaborated for ‘Radhe Shyam’. Adipurush is expected to be released in 2022.
