Bollywood promising actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on June 14 (Sunday). His unexpected demise left everyone in shock, including his co-actress and ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande. His death by suicide was because he was going through a mental bouts of depression. Though the reason was still unclear, the whole nation has been indicting nepotism for the death of this extremely talented actor.
Died at an early age of 34, Sushant Singh Rajput left behind assets worth of crores. The entire nation is finding it really hard to believe that the extremely talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput left all of us. He was only 34 years old and still had plenty more things to achieve or fulfil in his life and now we lost such a gem of a person and it is heartbreaking to all of us that we won’t be able to see him anymore.
The man who made a name in the Hindi film industry with films like Kai Po Che, Ms Dhoni The Untold Story, Sonchiriya and more, made a list of 50 dreams that he wanted to fulfill. The star could have easily ruled Bollywood but took the decision of ending his life by hanging from the ceiling of his apartment in Bandra.
Several Bollywood actors and filmmakers called for an inward look and also questioned the role of ‘Bollywood mafia’ in the apparent suicide of a 34-year-old emerging actor, who managed to carve out a reputation for himself industry without a Godfather.
Now, Mumbai Police has launched a probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Many celebrities including Rhea Chakraborty, Ankita Lokhande, his manager, Mahesh Shetty along are being interrogated by police in connection with the suicide case.
Police took actor Rhea Chakraborty to the police station for interrogation on June 18. The interrogation lasted for almost nine hours. During the questioning, Rhea revealed that the couple had an alleged breakup. According to sources, Sushant used to call Rhea before going to sleep every day.
A recent report suggested that actor Sushant was about to tie the knot with Rhea Chakraborty in November. According to reports, the interrogation of Rhea Chakraborty went throughout the day.
Rhea and Sushant reportedly dated each other around May last year. They never spoke about their relationship openly. However, they were seen together several times and shared holidays and trips, pictures of which also went viral on social media.
A senior police officer said, “Keeping in view the professional angle, police have started calling some prominent production houses for inquiry. As part of that, the police on Thursday sent a letter to Yash Raj Films, seeking details of all the contracts it had signed with the deceased actor. We have also asked for the copies of the contracts that Yash Raj Films had signed with the actor.”
A few days back, the ashes of late Indian actor Sushant Singh Rajput were immersed in the holy river Ganga in his hometown Patna in Bihar where ashes of his late mother had also been immersed.
