Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh came forward to praise Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who was born and brought up in the state, for his heart-touching act amid the coronavirus shutdown.
The Chief Minister lauded him for arranging buses for migrant labourers stranded in Mumbai. He wrote in his tweet, “It fills me with immense pride whenever I read about my fellow Punjabis going beyond their call of duty to help those in need and this time it is our Moga boy Sonu Sood who has been actively helping migrant workers by arranging for their food and transportation.” “Good work Sonu!” he added.
Calling Sonu Sood as ‘our Moga Boy,’ CM showered praises on him for arranging hassle-free transportation and food for migrant labourers and help them reach their native places.
Sood replied to the Chief Minister’s tweet by saying, “Thank you so much for your kind words sir. You have always been an inspiration for me. I promise to make our fellow punjabis proud.”
The 46-year-old actor who is known for his roles in films like ‘Singh is Kinng,’ ‘Simmba’ and ‘Dabangg’ is widely being praised for sending migrant workers back to their homes safely.
In the need of the hour, actor Sonu Sood has once again come to help the migrant workers. Thanks to the real-life hero who stepped in at the right place and at the right time on the ground and helped migrant workers who got stuck in Maharashtra and also made travel arrangements for them in this shutdown.
He arranged buses for the hundreds of migrants who were stuck in the city owing to the epidemic Sonu Sood had not only sponsored the travel but also offered meal kits for the workers.
Last week, Chef Vikas Khanna also couldn’t stop himself from praising Sonu Sood. He made a special dish and named it ‘Moga’ after the town in Punjab where actor Sonu Sood was born.
