Millions of people across the country are under lockdown in an attempt to flatten the spiking curve of the COVID-19 outbreak. RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav, on the other hand, is missing his father during the shutdown.
Taking to Twitter, Yadav shared a video clip in which he can be seen getting emotional while remembering his father Lalu Prasad.
He said that he is missing his father at the moment as he can not meet his father due to shutdown. He also said that Bihar needs former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav in the time of crisis.
“Father, we need you, and so does the country. I miss you. I don”t know how you are putting up,” the former Bihar Minister tweeted.
In the clip, Tej Pratap said that everyone is along with their family members during the closedown but he is so unlucky that he can not even meet his father.
He is seen holding a book on Lalu Prasad Yadav, called ‘Gopalganj to Raisina: My Political Journey.’ He wrote “Miss you papa” with six crying emojis.
He expressed his anxiousness and concern about his father’s health. Jails across the world have released thousands of inmates in an unprecedented effort to prevent a coronavirus outbreak in crowded jails and prisons, he said.
The lockdown situation has left millions of people stranded in different parts of the country wanting to go back home. Tej Pratap is seen crying like a baby in the video clip. I wish I could go and meet my father in this tough situation which has disturbed the entire country, he said.
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad was sentenced to 14 years in jail and fined Rs 60 lakh by a special CBI court in connection with the fourth fodder scam case pertaining to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 3.13 crore from Dumka treasury in the early 1990s.
