In shocking news, President Ram Nath Kovind will undergo testing for COVID-19 amid the coronavirus outbreak. It has been learnt that President Kovind came in contact with Rajasthan MP Dushyant Singh who tested positive for the disease.
Dushyant Singh, who recently attended a party hosted by singer Kanika Kapoor, had a breakfast meeting with President Kovind. President’s life is at risk because of Kanika’s mistake.
Dushyant has been kept under medical observation in an isolation ward along with his mother and former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje who was also present at the party in Lucknow.
Dushyant shared photographs on Twitter from the breakfast meeting hosted by the President for 96 MPs from UP and Rajasthan on March 18. Defence minister Rajnath Singh, Women and Child Development minister Smriti Irani, Skill Development Minister Mahender Nath Pandey, Water Resources minister Gajender Singh Shekhawat and Minister of State for Road Transport V.K. Singh also attended the meeting.
It remains to be seen whether all present at the breakfast meeting will undergo a test for novel coronavirus. On Friday, Indian playback singer Kanika Kapoor had tested positive for COVID-19, making her the first case of the disease in the Bollywood industry.
The 41-year-old singer, best known for her songs Baby Doll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, showed initial symptoms of the virus. It was found that the actress had a travel history to London. After arriving in Lucknow, Kanika threw a lavish party for her friends and family at a five-star hotel.
The entire world is in a state of shock after the novel coronavirus pandemic impacted lakhs of people’s lives. By far, the virus has affected over 2.7 lakh people globally and the global death toll has risen to at least 11,000. Thankfully, over 85,000 people have recovered from the deadly outbreak.
In India alone, the confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have surpassed 270, while 5 people have died in the country from the infection. It has been learnt that the coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of around 4,000 people in China alone and over 6,000 worldwide, as per the experts.
Even as China is finding it tough to bring the widespread infectious disease under control, several countries across the world are reporting cases of COVID-19. People lost their loved ones to the deadly disease which originated in Wuhan, China.
India is making all necessary efforts to prevent the fast-spreading disease. The entry of all international flights to India will be banned from March 22 to March 29. No international flights will be able to land in India from the effective date.
