Addressing CRPF personnel, Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said the government is committed to taking care of the families of central security forces personnel while they take care of the nation. Appreciating the role of CRPF jawans, Mr. Shah said the force had played a crucial role in eradicating terrorism from Punjab and Tripura and ensuring peace in the States. While laying the foundation stone for their new headquarters building, Mr. Shah stated the government is working to ensure that every paramilitary personnel gets to spend at least 100 days in a year with their family. Apart from that health card facility will be provided to families of paramilitary jawans, he further said.
“The Modi government’s mantra is to take care of families of jawans who guard India’s borders. The government is committed to the welfare of paramilitary forces. Jawans should be able to spend 100 days with their families and their families should get health cards,” Shah added.
He said that all these welfare schemes will be finalized by August-September next year. A committee is working on this to give it a final shape, adding that suggestions have been sought from DGs of paramilitary forces to implement the scheme, he said.
He also said that the new headquarters of the force would be built at an estimated cost of Rs 280 crore by the Central Public Works Department.
