In the episode of Third Degree on Aaj Tak, when Sayeed Ansari asked Asaduddin Owais about what Hindustan Muslim wants, Mosque or food?
Asaduddin Owaisi was unable to answer the question in the right manner. He simply bypassed the question, saying that Hindustan Muslims want justice.
On this, Ansari said, “You are already fighting for justice and Babri Masjid, but what about those who are poor and unemployed? Owaisi said, “The government is responsible for that and this is our political fight”
When Owaisi was asked about whether he is a leader of Muslims or not? he said, “No, I am just an MP and politician”
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi is known for opposing the verdict of the Supreme Court. He opposed the Supreme Court’s verdict on Ayodhya land dispute.
Owaisi also opposed the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 and tore a copy of the bill in the Lok Sabha, saying that the Bill tries to divide the country.
Ansari asked Owaisi why he did not accept a five-acre plot allotted to the Sunni Waqf Board for building a mosque. He said, “For me, the Constitution is supreme and it gives me the right to disagree respectfully with any SC judgment. I will oppose anything that is against the Constitution,”
Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Our fight was not for a piece of land. It was to ensure that my legal rights are realized. The SC [Supreme Court] also categorically said that no temple was demolished to construct a mosque. I want my masjid back.”
Sayeed Ansari again asked Owaisi whether Hindustan Muslim wants employment or mosque? Ignoring the question, Owaisi said that five-acre land will not prove justice.
