Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a gentleman both on and off the cricket field. He is currently not part of the team that is playing its ongoing T20I series against West Indies. In fact, MS Dhoni was last seen sporting an Indian jersey in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
After India’s exit from the tournament, MS Dhoni didn’t feature for the Indian cricket team that toured West Indies. He also missed the home assignment against South Africa as India played 3 T20Is and as many Tests. MS Dhoni also didn’t play against Bangladesh at home where India played 3 T20Is and 2 Tests.
MS Dhoni took a break from international cricket only to join Indian army regiment for two weeks in Kashmir where he spent some quality time interacting with soldiers and officers. Following his spell, he returned to the Indian dressing room after India won the Test against South Africa in Ranchi.
When MS Dhoni was asked about the possibility of returning to international cricket again, he said: “Don’t ask me till January.”
Recently, MS Dhoni was in a recent conversation with Majumdar at an event when he stunned the audience by singing two lines of the song “Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hoon”.
Majumdar posted the video clip with the caption, “As I said yest it was a very relaxed conversation. First at the event and then for an hour and a half off camera on all things cricket. Will def write at some point. Here is @msdhoni singing his favorite two lines. We talked about him as father, husband, son and all else.”
