According to Irmim Shamim, dream is not the one that you see in sleep but the one that doesn’t let you sleep. Yes, Irmim scripted a success story for herself as she became the first Gujjar woman in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district to crack the MBBS AIIMS entrance exam. It was a dream-come-true moment for her.
Shamim became an inspiration to all the girls in the valley and all her hard work finally bore fruit. Speaking to news agency ANI, Shamim explained how she broke all the barriers to make it to the premier institute.
As per ANI report, Shamim hails from Dhanore village in the bordering district and she had to walk a distance of 10 kilometres on foot daily to go to school as there was no proper school near the village.
“Everyone has some problem in their life. You have to fight the challenges and success will definitely come to you,” she said.
Her family too is extremely delighted with her choice of career and the success she achieved, all by herself.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Shamim’s uncle Liaqat Choudhary had expressed happiness on her success and added that the girls are the strong hope of the region.
“The girls of Jammu and Kashmir have shown their talent in every field of life on national and international levels,” he added.
District Development Commissioner, Aijaz Asad appreciated her on the achievement and then assured of every possible assistance to continue studies in future.
