The elections are just a couple of weeks away and both BJP and Congress are taking every possible step to woo the voters. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is seeking a second term this time around by introducing Digital Raths which would offer free internet services to the national capital.
As the name suggests, the ‘Digital Rath’ is a chariot that will play a video reel of “all alleged achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government”, after which, it will play the failures of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led state government.
It has been learnt that the raths will travel and cover the whole Delhi-NCR region. In addition to that, they also have an in-built WiFi spot. In an interesting turn of events, the password of the WiFi spot will be ‘Kejriwal failed to give free WiFi’.
“People can use this free-of-cost internet service to circulate information about PM Modi through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram,” Neelkanth Bakshi, officer-in-charge, Delhi BJP IT and Social Media Cell in an interview told India Today TV.
“At once, approximately 200 people will be able to use the WiFi. The Digital Rath will be on roads on April 1,” he added.
The AAP is also in talks with the Congress party in a bid to make it big in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The biggest anticipation over the alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party still goes with AICC’s Delhi in-charge PC Chacko talking in its favour. The potential move on a tie-up with Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP would be taken by Congress chief Rahul Gandhi today according to Times Now.
Meanwhile, Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit is not really impressed with it as he has opposed to the idea. It has been learnt that Congress President Rahul Gandhi and AAP leader Sanjay Singh held separate discussions with Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar last week over this matter.
