After 71 years, Team India scripted history as they secure a 2-1 series win over Australia despite the Sydney Test which ended in a draw as Virat Kohli became the first Asian skipper to clinch a Test series. The cricketing fraternity congratulated the Indians for putting on a candid show in all aspects of the game.
Australia were completely outsmarted by Indians through and through. Amid all the congratulatory messages on social media, there came one from the co-owner of an Indian Premier League franchise Preity Zinta which got her severely trolled.
While Bollywood actress Preity Zinta was of the same as any other to appreciate Kohli’s men for their historic triumph, she ended up making a factual mistake in her tweet. She said India became the first Asian team to win a test match instead of saying Test series.
“Congratulations to the boys in blue for being the first Asian team to win a test match down under@cheteshwar1 take a bow#AUSvsIND #victory #ting #TeamIndia #IndianCricketTeam @BCCI”, tweeted the Bollywood actress.
Seeing this, users trolled her errors. However, the tweet now has been deleted.
