In a deeply disturbing incident that has left many people shaken, a pregnant woman from Delhi recently shared her terrifying experience during an Ola cab ride. She posted the details on LinkedIn, and her story quickly went viral, drawing strong reactions from the public.
The woman, who chose to remain anonymous for safety reasons, was travelling from Cherry County in Noida Extension to Saket in New Delhi. During the ride, she politely asked the driver to switch on the air conditioner. What followed was something no one could have imagined.

According to her post, the driver refused to turn on the AC. When she insisted, he reportedly lost his temper and turned abusive. Despite knowing she was pregnant, he allegedly threatened her with horrifying words:
“Tere pet mein laat maar ke baccha gira dunga,”
which translates to, “I will kick your stomach and make you lose the baby.”
Things got even worse when he suddenly stopped the car midway, forced her to get out, and warned her,
“Abhi aage dekho kya kya hota hai,”
meaning, “Just wait and watch what happens next.”
Woman Demands Strong Action from Ola
The woman called the entire experience traumatic. She said it left her feeling unsafe, stressed, and mentally shaken. In her post, she directly tagged Ola and its CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, demanding urgent and strict action against the driver.
“This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and has caused me immense stress and fear. I strongly urge you to take immediate and strict legal action against the driver,” she wrote.
She also confirmed that she filed a complaint with Ola’s customer support and reported the matter to the women’s helpline.
Ola Responds with Generic Apology, Leaves Questions Unanswered
After her post gained attention, Ola reached out to her. They apologized for the incident and said they had taken “appropriate action” against the driver. The company also claimed it was working on steps to avoid such cases in the future.
But the woman wasn’t satisfied. She asked Ola to clearly explain what “appropriate action” meant. Disappointingly, she received no follow-up response. Her concerns were met with silence.
This lack of transparency has left many people angry and worried about passenger safety. If companies like Ola can’t assure basic protection—especially for vulnerable passengers like pregnant women—then serious questions need to be asked.
