RJ Mahvash opens up about her relationship status
In a recent interview with Yuvaa, Mahvash set the record straight. She confirmed that she is very much single and not involved in any romantic relationship. Speaking candidly, she added that she doesn’t relate to the modern-day idea of marriage and has no plans to tie the knot anytime soon.
“I am very much single, and I don’t understand the concept of marriage in today’s time. I am someone who would date only when I have to marry. I don’t go on casual dates because I will only date someone I want to get married to. I am that person, like in the film Dhoom, who sees his wife and kids behind the bike.”
Mahvash also revealed that she was once engaged at the young age of 19. However, she eventually called it off when she turned 21.
“I was engaged at the age of 19, and I called it off at 21. Growing up in a small town like Aligarh, our only conditioning was that we needed to find a good husband and get married. That used to be our goal.”
What triggered the dating rumors with Chahal?
The dating rumors kicked off after Mahvash posted a photo with Yuzvendra Chahal on Instagram, captured during the Champions Trophy final. The image went viral, and the online frenzy began almost instantly. Mahvash was quick to shut down the rumors, calling them “baseless” and asking people to stop spreading false claims about her personal life.
Seeing the online chatter take an ugly turn, even Chahal stepped in. He urged fans to stop circulating unfounded rumors and emphasized that the gossip had taken a toll on his family.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the two were seen together. Back in December 2024, Mahvash shared a Christmas post on Instagram. Surprisingly, Chahal also featured in that photo, though at the time, it didn’t raise many eyebrows.
