Tamannaah Bhatia slams Journalist For Calling Her ‘Milky Beauty’
In the upcoming supernatural thriller Odela 2, Tamannaah takes on a completely new avatar as a sadhvi (spiritual woman). At a recent press meet, she addressed a question about her casting in such a role, especially when she is often recognized for her “milky beauty.”
Responding with grace and confidence, Tamannaah said, “You are saying milky beauty, but why did you look at a milky beauty and think she can’t be a Shiva Shakti? Your question already has the answer. Director Ashok Teja does not see beauty as something to be ashamed of or feel bad about. Glamour in a woman is to be celebrated, and we women must celebrate ourselves. Only then can we expect others to celebrate us. If we see ourselves in a certain way, nobody else can respect us.”
She further added, “Here, we have a wonderful gentleman [Ashok Teja] who does not look at women that way. He sees women as divine. And divinity can be glamorous, lethal, and powerful. A woman can be many, many things.”
Tamannaah’s response has won praise from fans, highlighting her strong stance on women embracing their own beauty and power. With Odela 2, she is set to showcase yet another dimension of her acting prowess, proving once again that she is much more than just a glamorous star.
