A shocking revelation has come out about Indian cricket star bowler Mohammed Shami’s family. His sister, Shabina, and brother-in-law, Ghaznavi, have been listed as laborers under the MNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act). MNREGA wages have come to their account from 2021 to 2024. Shabina’s mother-in-law, Gule Aisha, is the village head.

According to sources, 657 job cards have been made in the MNREGA scheme. Shabina’s name is included at number 473 in this list. Shabina is the daughter-in-law of village head Aisha. It has been claimed that Shabina was registered in the MNREGA scheme on January 4, 2021. About 70 thousand rupees have come into Shabina’s bank account. Similarly, the name of Shabina’s husband, Ghaznavi, is also in this list. About 66 thousand rupees have come into his bank account.
According to reports, both their names are included in the list of laborers who are paid daily wages under MNREGA. Shami’s family is affluent, and his sister and brother-in-law do not need to work as laborers. In such a situation, the question arises of how their name came to be on this list. Is this a case of fraud or a mistake of the administration?
The name of a contractor of the village is also coming to the fore in this whole matter. It is alleged that he prepared a fake list of laborers, in which the names of many such people were added who do not work as laborers. If these allegations are proved to be true, then this can prove to be a major scam. When the administration was questioned on the matter, they said that an investigation would be conducted. If the fraud is confirmed, then strict action will be taken against the culprits.
This is not the first time that Mohammed Shami’s family has been surrounded by controversies. Earlier, his wife, Hasin Jahan, had made serious allegations against him, which damaged Shami’s image. Now this new case has again brought his family into the headlines.
