A worrying case has again come to light regarding the safety of women in the country. In the latest incident, 5 minor girls returning from a wedding were kidnapped by a group of 18 boys, out of which 3 were gang-raped in a heartbreaking incident. All these 18 rapists were between 12 and 17 years of age. Jharkhand Police says a group of minor accused have been sent to a juvenile home.
According to sources, five girls had gone to attend a wedding ceremony in the Rania area. While returning from the wedding ceremony, a group of 18 minor boys followed them and, seeing the deserted area, kidnapped 5 minor girls. The accused forcibly took the girls to the hilly area.
During this, 2 girls bit the accused on their hands. In this way, their grip loosened, and both the girls managed to escape from the clutches of the accused. These girls reached the village and told everyone about the incident. The family members of the survivors have complained about the incident to the police. In this complaint, it is said that all 18 accused gang-raped three girls. After this, they left them in the forest and fled.
Khunti SP Aman Kumar further said that on February 23, the police received a complaint at Rania Police Station. After this, a team was immediately formed for investigation. A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act.
SP Aman Kumar says that all 18 accused have been arrested after an investigation. They have also been sent to juvenile homes. Also, a medical examination of the survivors will be done as soon as possible. All the accused and survivors range from 12 to 17 years old. The news of the case is being seen all over social media, hearing which everyone is shocked and terrified to see that even minor boys are possessed by the ghost of brutality.
