Despite facing many failures and health challenges, she cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam on her third attempt and fulfilled her dream of becoming an IAS officer.

Initial Passion and First Attempt
After completing her engineering degree from Punjab University in 2016, she focused on the UPSC exam. Anisha carefully organized her study material according to the UPSC syllabus and established a consistent study routine to succeed on the first attempt. Anisha missed the preliminary exam cutoff by a very narrow margin in her first attempt.
Failure in the Second Attempt and Battling a Serious Illness
Not giving up, she persevered and prepared for her second attempt. However, this time too she faced failure. The biggest thing was that she faced a serious health challenge that was related to a brain disease.
Continuing Studies Despite Health Challenges
In February 2018, while preparing for her second attempt, Anisha was diagnosed with a disease called idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH). Despite the challenges of dealing with the disease, including medication, MRIs, and spinal taps, she remained focused on her goal and concentrated on her third attempt of preparation and achieved success.
An Inspiration for All UPSC Aspirants
Due to the disease, Anisha had frequent headaches, her vision was getting weak, and the doctors advised her to rest. But she did not give up. She continued her studies even amidst medicines and treatment. At times, her condition became so bad that she could not even read books, but she was determined to overcome this difficulty with her determination and courage.
Achieving Historic Success in the Third Attempt
After her determination and many years of hard work, Anisha finally achieved the dream she cherished. She achieved success in her third attempt. She secured All India Rank (AIR) 94 and fulfilled her dream of becoming an IAS officer. Anisha’s story is an inspiration for all UPSC aspirants, showing that with perseverance and passion, any obstacle can be overcome.
