Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest businessman with a net worth exceeding Rs 8 lakh crore, is known for his lavish lifestyle. He revolutionized the telecom industry with Reliance Jio and owns Reliance Industries, a company generating over $120 billion in revenue.
His residence, Antilia, is valued at Rs 15,000 crore and houses one of India’s most extravagant car collections. Ambani’s Jio Garage in Mumbai is home to over 170 luxury cars, making it one of the most impressive collections in the country.

From Rolls-Royces to Bentleys, his fleet includes some of the most exclusive vehicles in the world. However, one iconic car that once belonged to his father, Dhirubhai Ambani, is not part of this collection.
That prized possession—a vintage 1958 Cadillac sedan—now belongs to Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. This left-hand drive classic was originally acquired by film producer K. Balaji, Mohanlal’s father-in-law.
The car even appeared in several movies produced by Balaji before making its way to Kochi, where Mohanlal took charge of its restoration. Originally maroon, the sedan was repainted to preserve its pristine look at Flamingo Garage in Kochi. It is registered under the number MAS 2100.
Mohanlal himself is no stranger to luxury cars. His impressive collection includes a Hindustan Ambassador MK4, Range Rover Autobiography, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Toyota Innova Crysta, among others.
Cadillac, a premium brand under General Motors (GM), is a symbol of automotive luxury in countries like the U.S., Canada, and China. In the 1960s, Cadillac models were in high demand, and the 1958 sedan was available in three variants: Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac CTS, and Cadillac STS. Since the brand was not officially available in India at the time, Dhirubhai Ambani personally imported this Cadillac for his use.
While Mukesh Ambani continues to expand his incredible car collection, his father’s legacy lives on through this iconic vintage Cadillac, now in the hands of one of South India’s greatest actors.
