Trump offers Canada to merge with the USA and become its 51st state

Justin Trudeau resigned as Prime Minister of Canada. Immediately after his resignation, America’s newly elected President Donald Trump played his card and reiterated his offer for Canada. In his offer, Trump has once again suggested merging Canada with the US. However, there has been no response from Canada in this regard yet.

According to sources, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau announced his resignation due to pressure from his ruling Liberal Party due to his declining popularity. Trudeau said that he will continue as Canada’s Prime Minister until the party elects a new leader. Many issues emerged during his tenure, including economic problems, dissatisfaction over domestic policy, and failures in international diplomacy.

A few hours after the news of Trudeau’s resignation came, America’s newly elected president played his trump card. He reiterated his offer to Canada, in which he suggested “making Canada the 51st state of the United States.” Although Trudeau and Trump never had good relations, now the question is whether Canada will accept Trump’s proposal and become the 51st state of America or not.

Donald Trump has talked about his offer in many posts. In his post, he wrote, “Many Canadians would love to become the 51st state. The United States can no longer bear the massive trade deficit and subsidies that Canada needs to survive.” Justin Trudeau knew this and he resigned.

After Trudeau’s resignation, the elected president said, “If Canada merges with America, there will be no tariffs, taxes will be greatly reduced, and they will be completely safe from the threat of Russian and Chinese ships, which constantly surround them. Together, what a great nation it will be!!!”

There has not been much response from Canada to Trump’s proposal. Trump has threatened to impose a 25 percent tariff on Canadian imports if Toronto is not able to stop the flow of illegal drugs and illegal immigrants across its southern border with the US. In some posts, Trump also mocked Trudeau as the ‘governor of the great state of Canada’.
