Recently, a shocking case has come to light from Kanpur. ACP Mohsin Khan has been accused of raping an IIT student. The student suffers from depression due to the alleged deception of the ACP, so she is under the supervision of the institute’s staff. The authorities have dismissed the ACP from the charge, and the SIT is investigating the entire matter.
According to sources, an IIT student has accused an ACP posted in Kanpur of rape. According to the victim, the ACP is studying cybercrime and criminology from IIT. He became close to a researcher there. It is alleged that the ACP raped her by trapping her in love. When the truth about the ACP being married and other truths came to light, the victim complained to the Kanpur Police Commissioner.
On the orders of the Police Commissioner, DCP Ankita Sharma, and ADCP Archana Singh reached IIT in civil dress. When both the women officers inquired, the allegation was found to be true. Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar had ordered to register a report against the ACP under rape and other serious sections. In this case, an SIT headed by ADCP Archana Singh is investigating the entire matter.
On Friday, the SIT questioned the victim. During the interrogation, the victim revealed that she already knew that ACP Mohsin Khan was married, but the ACP had promised that he would divorce his wife and marry her. The victim said that she had also gone to the ACP’s house to meet his wife. During the interrogation, the victim was not able to talk much. The SIT team has got the victim medically examined.
Further action will be decided based on this. As soon as the case was registered against the ACP, the officers prepared a complete report and sent it to the DGP headquarters. The matter will be thoroughly investigated by a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The five-member SIT is headed by Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Archana Singh. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankita Sharma said that the officer has not been arrested yet.
