Save Hindus and Dalits in Bangladesh: Mayawati requests central Govt

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has made a big appeal to the central government regarding the atrocities being committed against Hindus and especially the Dalit community in Bangladesh. She said that atrocities being committed against Dalit Hindus in Bangladesh are at their peak and blamed the policies of Congress for this.

According to sources, BSP supremo Mayawati said that opposition parties are not raising issues of the country and public interest in the Parliament. Instead, SP and Congress are using violence in Sambhal to woo Muslim voters. Other issues are unrelated to them.

Mayawati said that these parties (SP and Congress) are working to make Muslim communities (Turks and non-Turks) fight among themselves in Sambhal. The Muslim community also needs to be cautious about this. Those to whom Dalit MPs have reached the Parliament are also sitting silent on the issues of Dalit oppression to please the bosses of their respective parties. Be it the case of Dalit oppression in our country or the case of Bangladesh.

Mayawati stated that numerous Hindus are being murdered in Bangladesh, the country that neighbors her party. Most of them are Dalits and weak people, who, despite being in the majority in India, were given to Pakistan in the partition as a punishment for electing Baba Saheb to the Constituent Assembly.

She said that the Jessore Khuna area of Bengal, from where Baba Saheb was elected to the Constituent Assembly, was handed over to Pakistan under a conspiracy despite being a Hindu-majority area, which is now in Bangladesh, due to which Baba Saheb resigned from Bangladesh and returned to India.

Mayawati said that all this casteist game was of the Congress party. Now that they are being exploited in Bangladesh, the main opposition party Congress is silent. Now it is shouting ‘Sambhal-Sambhal’ only for Muslim votes. Furthermore, Congress, the SP, and their supporting parties are two sides of the same coin. In such a situation, the BJP government at the Centre should step forward and fulfil its responsibility so that the Dalit community does not have to suffer further exploitation.
