Meanwhile, a video has surfaced amid the voting going on in the Meerapur assembly seat, in which it is seen that an SHO in Meerapur is threatening voters with a revolver. Regarding this, Samajwadi Party chief and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has demanded the Election Commission to immediately suspend the SHO of Kakrauli police station area of Meerapur.
Kannauj MP Akhilesh Yadav said that the Election Commission should immediately suspend the SHO of the Kakrauli police station area of Meerapur, as he is preventing voters from casting their votes by threatening with a revolver. Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had made another post on X. In this, he had said that immediate suspension action should be taken against the SHO who used indecent behavior and language with women to stop them from casting their votes in Ibrahimpur. ‘ BJP wants to win the election not by votes but by deceit.
However, according to sources, that video presents only one side of the whole incident; it is not the complete video. Rather, the police were informed from Kankroli town that there was a clash between two parties, after which the roads were blocked. When the police tried to remove the people, the people pelted stones at the police, and then the police controlled the situation by using security forces.
Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had said that the BJP wants to win this by-election not by votes but by deceit. The BJP is pressurizing the administration to do dishonesty due to fear of defeat, creating mistrust among voters, undermining democratic principles, and violating the sanctity of free and fair elections in the process.
