“Bollywood is a dark hell” mother of Priyanka Chopra speaks on Priyanka’s early journey

The Bollywood industry is not for everyone. Achieving a name for yourself in Bollywood isn’t easy. Bollywood actors and actresses who have achieved great heights have also faced tough challenges. Priyanka Chopra, who has become an international icon, also had a journey full of struggles. Recently, her mother, Madhu Chopra, recalled some difficult times in her journey and talked about the hell side behind Bollywood.

Dr. Madhu Chopra said that when Priyanka stepped into Bollywood, she faced many difficulties. In her words, “We had seen the filth in Bollywood. For Priyanka Chopra, the journey to global fame was full of obstacles and challenges.

“The film was new to us; we had stars in our eyes. I didn’t think it was hell; such negative things did not come to our mind. But when we came into it, we saw the filth and bad parts of it. So, there was a little bit of trouble in the beginning,” she said.

She was able to move forward because of her confidence and ability to assure her family, regardless of the initial struggles she faced. “Then Priyanka talked to us and said, ‘Mom, you know me best; so why believe all this nonsense?'” recalls Madhu. After that, everything fell into place.”

Entering the film industry without any connections was a tough one for Priyanka. Bollywood looks different from the outside and it’s a ‘hell’ from the back. From enduring constant gossip to navigating unfamiliar territory, Priyanka dealt with it all. Her rise to the top wasn’t just due to talent; it was driven by resilience, hard work, and the unwavering support of her family, who stood by her through every hurdle.

Today, Priyanka is an international icon. After her recent stint in the Amazon Prime Video series Citadel (2023), she is gearing up for her next big project, Heads of State, an action comedy starring Idris Elba, John Cena, and Jack Quaid. Her journey is all about grit, hard work, courage, determination, passion, and never giving up.
