Recently a shocking incident has come to light. Communal conflict prevails in Subhash Colony of Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, about 22 km from Delhi. This dispute started with burning crackers during Diwali, a child of a Hindu family was attacked by people of the neighboring Muslim community for burning crackers.
According to sources, when the minor boy was attacked, the mother of the victim went to the house of the Muslim neighbor, instead of listening and understanding, they attacked with bricks and sticks. The entire scene of the incident was captured in the CCTV installed in the neighborhood. The Muslim family is also accused of molesting the daughter of the Hindu family.
The victim’s family says that their son was burning crackers outside the house on Diwali. During this time, some people from the Muslim community living in the neighborhood attacked him and tried to threaten him. The dispute started only on this issue, and now a poster of “House for sale” is displayed on the Hindu family’s home.
According to the victim’s Hindu family, earlier most of the houses there belonged to the Hindu community but now most of the houses belong to the Muslim community, and due to repeated harassment of Hindus, some Hindus migrated from there.
The woman from the victim’s family said that when she complained about this incident to the police, she was threatened to keep quiet and take back her complaint, otherwise the same thing that happened to Hindus in Kashmir would be done to them.
The head of the victim family, Durga Prasad says that Hindu families are harassed a lot, and neither are we allowed to do bhajan kirtan. We cannot celebrate festivals. A particular minority family living in the neighborhood attacked us for bursting a firecracker.
Durga Prasad said while crying that I had been living here for 30 years and earlier the situation was not so bad, because the number was less. Now the number has increased. These people have created a kind of Kashmir.
