Jaya Kishori buys bag worth ₹2 lakh, deletes post after backlash from users

Famous spiritual leader Jaya Kishori has recently faced criticism due to her luxury Dior bag. As soon as her picture with this bag worth Rs 2 lakh went viral on social media, some people started criticizing it, calling it against the values of spirituality.

In the video, famous spiritual preacher Jaya Kishori was spotted at the airport in which she is carrying a Dior brand tote bag. This brand comes in luxury and the price of this bag is around 2 lakhs. After watching the video, users started criticizing, after which Jaya Kishori had to delete the video.

Ms. Kishori, who has a large number of followers due to her spiritual discourses and singing, has reportedly often emphasized the importance of renouncing material possessions for spiritual growth. However, seeing her with such an expensive accessory has made many people question the authenticity of her message.

Responding to these criticisms, Ms. Kishori said, “I am a normal girl, I live in a normal house, I live with my family… My message to youth is that you should work hard, earn money, give yourself a good life. Despite the high value of her Dior “tote bag”, she said it was a customized product and made without any leather.

Users on Platform X shared Jaya Kishori’s video and expressed their criticism. User Ganesh wrote, “Stop calling #JayaKishori a Spiritual leader she’s a motivational speaker. She has said she will live a family life and is fond of luxury items like Dior bag. Hope Hindus realize that Singing Bhajan alone won’t make anybody Sadhvi/Sant.”

Another user Neemo Yadav wrote, “She claims to live in a hut and says she has no property or money. According to her, people should invest their time in worshiping God instead of pursuing money. But in this video, she is seen carrying a Dior bag worth ₹2 lakhs. “Dior bags are made of calf leather.”

Another user writes, “Jaya Kishori tells people not to be materialistic, yet she uses a luxury bag costing over Rs. 2 lakh.”
