This controversy started with a video, in which Abhinav Arora is seen singing bhajans and dancing next to Swami Rambhadracharya at a religious gathering. On this, Swami Sambhadracharya asks Arora to get down from the stage. “You go down first. Tell him to go down.”
After this incident, in a conversation with the media, Rambhadracharya called Arora a “foolish child”. Swami Rambhadracharya said he is such a foolish boy. He says that Krishna studies with him. Will God study with him? I even scolded him in Vrindavan.
According to sources, Abhinav Arora tried to avoid the incident with his statement. He was scolded by his guru and such small incidents should not become a big issue. He says, “This incident is not recent. The video has been shown recently by Pratapganj. This is wrong. The video is about one or one and a half years old, it is from Vrindavan.
He further says, “Were you never scolded by your parents? Were you never scolded by your guru? No one told me that Jagadguru Ramanandacharya also called me to his room and blessed me.” People should not look at this incident from the wrong perspective. He believes that this type of strictness in the relationship between a guru and a disciple is sometimes necessary and it is only to teach important lessons of life.
10-year-old Abhinav also spoke about the criticism regarding his education, as many people said that he should be in school and not in religious ceremonies. “I go to school,” said Abhinav Arora. However, I have been trolled so much that I could not go to school. My sister also could not go to school because of me.” He also mentioned, “I wish people would understand that learning from a guru involves both guidance and discipline.”
