Two Indian kids buy JioHotstar.com domain, offer to sell for ₹1 crore

Recently, the Jiohotstar.com domain has taken a new turn. Two young siblings, Jainam and Jeevika, who live in the UAE, now claim ownership of the website. They bought the domain from a Delhi-based developer who was hoping to leverage the site’s potential after the merger between JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar.

The JioHotstar.com domain is not owned by Reliance Jio as it was earlier registered in the name of a Delhi-based developer and now two young siblings who live in the UAE now claim ownership of the website. According to information provided on the new homepage of JioHotstar.com, Jainam and Jeevika run an organization that helps children in education and other charitable work.

The homepage reads, On a mission to make a difference. Even though we are kids now, we believe age is just a number when it comes to spreading kindness and positivity. Our recent journey began during our summer vacation in India for 50 unforgettable days from our home in Dubai.

Further, We had one purpose to connect with kids from different backgrounds, share our love for learning, teach learning and goal-setting skills, and inspire them to dream big. The page owner further said, “He spent a part of the money collected from the work of his organization to help a young software developer from Delhi by buying this domain name for his benefit.”

The Delhi app developer registered the Jio Hotstar domain in his name in the year 2023. He said that he would sell this domain and enrolled in an Executive MBA course at Cambridge University in the UK. But now this domain has been bought by Jainam and Jeevika, one of whom is 13 years old and the other 10. Both also have a YouTube channel, and both run an NGO named Jainam Jeevika. The company is directed by Kantilal Shankarlal Jain and Shobha Kantilal Jain.

JioHotstar.com is now in the hands of young siblings Jainam and Jeevika, passionate about supporting children’s education and charitable causes.
