Why did he join RAS?
Before RAS, he was a YouTuber where he used to guide lakhs of children. One of his students inspired him to join government service. Awasthi said, “While teaching, he said that he is a gold medalist. On this, a student said, “First, you have to clear the exam”. This hurt him, and he decided to take the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) exam. He got selected on the first attempt at the exam.
Ankit Awasthi said in the podcast, “Being a teacher, I wanted to give a message, ‘Exams can be cleared, and I did.’ ‘Job can be left to follow a passion, I proved it too.’ Leaving the job was difficult for him too, ‘It is very painful to leave the achievement from your own hands, it is not that easy.’ He said.
Ankit Awasthi further said the government uniform gave me a lot of respect, but when I got stuck, then I came to know that everything happens here in sequence, there are 4 people above you, there are 4 people below you who change the rules and regulations. At that time, leaving money and taking the post was also surprising, but there was a passion, the challenge given by society, and I did it.
