The unusual incident was brought to light by the customer, Aaraynsh, who shared a photo of the empty glass on X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by a sarcastic post.
“Thanks, Swiggy, for sending me a sealed empty glass. I hope my lime soda will come in another order,” he wrote on X. The post quickly gained traction, capturing the attention of social media users and going viral within hours.
Aaraynsh’s post showcased the sealed glass with the caption: “When you order lime soda but get only vibes.” The humorous take on the situation amused many netizens, with some finding the situation hilarious and others expressing disbelief at such a glaring error in service.

Following Swiggy’s response, Aaraynsh confirmed that the issue had been resolved. He shared that Swiggy had provided a refund of ₹80 for the lime soda, which originally cost ₹120. His follow-up post stated, “Thanks, resolved now, received a refund of ₹80 for soda worth ₹120.”
