Bihar: Girl elopes with Govt officer, families claim they are relatives

Recently, a video of a couple was seen on social media. Both of them eloped and got married. The boy is a Deputy Commissioner but now both of them are facing a lot of problems after their love marriage. The families complained to the police and claimed both were uncle and niece in a relationship. In the video, the couple has requested the Vaishali Police Administration that all the kidnapping complaints lodged are false.

According to other sources, the department has suspended Deputy Commissioner Shiv Shakti. It is also alleged that he was continuously absent from his office without informing. Shiv Shakti made a video in which the couple spoke openly about their relationship. Deputy Commissioner Shiv Shakti married Sajal Sindhu, who is his niece, in the Katyayani temple of Khagaria.

The girl’s family had lodged an FIR in Vaishali district on August 13 alleging kidnapping. Now that case turned out to be not of kidnapping but of a love affair. On one hand, the newly married couple appealed to the society to not just read about love as read in books but to adopt it, on the other hand, the Vaishali police administration has also requested that the FIR lodged for kidnapping is completely false.

In the video, Shiv Shakti said that if you love, then you should be dedicated to love. One should not get caught up in financial temptation and social prestige, nor should one get married by falling into these traps. We have shown dedication towards love and have set an example of marriage without dowry. The dowry system will end only when we adopt it. Many people are unaware of their fundamental rights and often confuse social traditions with morality. This leads to the opposition of love marriages. However, falling in love and choosing to marry based on that love is a fundamental right.

In the video, the girl said, we both loved each other for almost 10 years. Now we are going to get married. Getting married is our fundamental right. According to the constitution, the right to choose the groom should be mine, so I am doing it. If you fell in love then you got married. There is nothing big in this. This is a big thing for those who don’t understand these things. We are sending a message to the family and society that if you are unable to follow your behavior, you should try to do it.
