Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding was nothing short of a spectacle, with an astonishing cost of Rs 5000 crore. Hosted by the Ambani family, the richest in Asia, the event was a lavish display of wealth and luxury, attended by celebrities and high-profile guests from around the world.

What’s even more surprising is that, despite the massive expense, the wedding only accounted for 0.5 percent of the Ambani family’s total net worth. Amid all this extravagance, Anupam Mittal, the CEO of Shaadi.com, took to X (formerly Twitter) and suggested a creative idea for broadcasting the grand event, sparking quite a bit of conversation online.

Amidst the lavish festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, Shaadi.com CEO Anupam Mittal chimed in on X (formerly Twitter) with a lighthearted suggestion. Mittal humorously pointed out that since both Anant and Jio Cinema are part of the Ambani family business, it would be fitting to live-stream the grand event on the platform, allowing everyone to be a part of the celebration.

“Dulha bhi khud ka, @JioCinema bhi khud ka. Should have broadcast ‘The Shaadi, would have rivalled IPL ratings” Mittal went on to quip that live-streaming the wedding could potentially rival the viewership ratings of major sporting events like the IPL, adding a playful twist to his suggestion. His comment highlighted just how much interest and excitement the extravagant event could generate if shared with a wider audience.
