Mohammed Siraj’s cricketing journey began with his impressive performances in domestic cricket, particularly in the Ranji Trophy, where he consistently delivered remarkable spells for Hyderabad.

His breakthrough came during the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season, where he emerged as the third-highest wicket-taker with 41 wickets in nine matches. His performances caught the attention of IPL scouts, and he was picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2017.

His impeccable 6/21 in the final helped India restrict Sri Lanka for just 50 runs. India won the game by 10 wickets and clinched the title.

His journey from a humble background to becoming a national hero is indeed an inspiration to many aspiring cricketers. Currently, he is part of India’s T20I squad against Sri Lanka. He took one wicket in the first game in Pallekele and then went wicketless in the second game.
