West Bengal: A muslim lady was paraded naked, thrown on road for supporting BJP

In West Bengal, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was recently attacked in Cooch Behar. She was brutally beaten and forced to walk naked for a kilometer. This incident has profoundly impacted the political and social landscape. Photos of the incident are rapidly spreading on social media.

The most important aspect of this incident is that this attack happened on a Muslim woman leader, who is a member of the BJP. A Muslim woman named Rosanora Khatun was stripped and beaten badly for supporting the BJP in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. The incident took place in Ramthenga Bazar of Mathabhanga Assembly constituency. Rosanora Khatun, a member of the BJP’s Minority Morcha, was dragged by her hair and beaten badly.

A woman is being treated at Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College and Hospital after allegedly being attacked by TMC supporters for being a BJP worker. The attackers stripped her and threw her clothes in the river, threatening to demolish her house if she stepped out again. Four people, including the main accused Shafikul, have been detained by Cooch Behar police.

Shafikul is accused of taking nude pictures of the victim during the attack and circulating them on social media platforms. Seeing the viral pictures and shared posts, users are strongly condemning the incident and demanding strict punishment for the accused. Users also shared a variety of reactions.
