A unique step was taken during the election campaign in Andhra Pradesh, the video of which is going viral on social media. Earlier, we had heard about political parties distributing money, liquor, and saris during election campaigns. But now, after liquor and sarees, condoms have also been included in the list of these electoral freebies.
A scheme was started in Andhra Pradesh where both the state’s major political parties are claiming to distribute condom packets door-to-door by printing their election symbol and party name on them. In this regard, videos related to this are also going viral on social media. Before the Lok Sabha elections, the state’s major parties also distributed condom packets with their party’s election symbol with great enthusiasm.
According to the news received on the matter, condoms were being distributed by the ruling YSR Congress Party and the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the state, on which their party’s election symbol was also clearly printed. According to the information, workers of both parties were also distributing these election ‘condoms’ by going door-to-door. However, now both the parties have questioned each other and criticized it.
In the video, a person is seen distributing condoms. He gives a packet of condoms to a man. Along with giving the packet, he also tells him the benefits of using condoms. He says that this helps in reducing the number of beneficiaries of the government scheme.
YSRCP posted on X questioning how much lower TDP will go. Will it stop with condoms or will it start distributing Viagra to the public as well? In response, TDP posted a picture of a condom packet with the YSRCP logo and asked if this was the preparation ‘Siddham’ that the party was talking about.
