Recently, a 60-year-old Muslim woman was arrested with a plan to target Hindus. 8 bombs have been recovered from this woman. She wanted to spread communal riots. For this, she ordered 10 time bombs to be made, but the Meerut unit of the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police did not let her plans succeed. The woman is in police custody and now she has made numerous major revelations.
Imrana Begum, arrested in Muzaffarnagar, confessed to planning a bomb attack as revenge for the 2013 riots that destroyed her home. She seized the recent unrest in Haldwani as an opportunity, paying Javed, a known criminal, Rs 10,000 to make the bomb. Javed learned bomb-making from YouTube and assembled it, but was caught before delivery.
Imrana Begum also challenged the police that if Javed was not caught, she would have succeeded in spreading communal riots and the police would never have been able to reach her. She would have burnt everything. She would have killed all those who burnt her house. The police registered a case against her under Section 4/5 of the Explosives Act and Section 286 of the IPC. Now the police are trying to find out who else is involved in the conspiracy with Imrana-Javed. Javed, who made the time bomb, was caught by the UP Police team near the Kali river in Muzaffarnagar.
Muzaffarnagar SSP Abhishek Singh said that the conspiracy to spread riots has been exposed. The matter is being taken seriously. Javed is the son of Imrana’s acquaintance. He was going to make an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and give it to Imrana. The deal was struck for Rs 40,000 to make the bomb. Imrana Begum will be medically examined to find out her mental condition.
